Janet's Story...

My name is Janet, a born again Christian, and also a volunteer of Scripture Union of Kenya.

I have volunteered with Scripture Union for the past 5 years to date. Our journey together began when S.U came to train Sunday School teachers at my local church, of whom I was amongst.

Since then, S.U has been my home.

A passion for Children's ministry was awakened  in me through the various VBS that I have attended in a way that I can't explain..

While we went out to impact the children with the word of God, I began to experience the same effect in my life as well. And I grew even the more spiritually.

S.U has taken the scripture so literal by teaching our children in the way that they should go, so that when they grow, they won't depart from it. I believe this is the only way we can change our society to a God fearing one, when our children are also growing and walking in the ways of God. When get to have these foundations early, they will anchor them in Christ and Godly character in life, becoming the positive transformational change we need in our society.

My journey with Scripture Union is not by chance, but by divine intervention. Through S.U, I was also able to volunteer with one of their partners in Prison Ministry, where I also feel a calling on my life for as well.

And this is the great commission, that we spread the gospel and love of Christ to every part of the earth.
